Arvin Chen Directing Cuba-Set Limited Series, Created by Meileen Choo
Ensemble Cast Includes Louise Wong, Nina Paw, Joseph Chang, Mauricio Henao, Camila Arteche, Sian Chiong and Mario Cimarro
I.E. Entertainment, the global distribution outfit founded and run by the Suharjono sisters, Indra and Erlina, has come on board to handle worldwide sales for Cathay Film Company’s “Coolie” – a TV series inspired by the little-known history of enslaved Chinese ‘coolies’ in Cuba in the 1860s, amidst the backdrop of the Cuban War of Independence.
Mediacorp, Singapore’s national media network and largest content creator, has inked a content acquisition deal with BEC World Public Company Limited (BEC), Thailand’s leading content and entertainment platform, for the roll out of more than 600 hours of Thai dramas on its digital video service mewatch, available to viewers completely for free. Selected shows will also air on its free-to-air Channel U.
BEC World PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of its international distribution agreement with I.E. Entertainment Pte. Ltd., fronted by two regional industry veterans, Indra Suharjono and Erlina Suharjono. BEC World’s original Thai dramas, produced by its various production houses and BEC Studio worldwide (excluding Thailand), will be officially distributed immediately.

Moreover, BEC World has licensed various titles with 2,300 hours in a multi-territory deal with the following platforms and broadcasters in Asia and Africa.
I.E. Entertainment Pte. Ltd. is proud to announce a landmark deal with ASTRO, a Malaysian media and entertainment company, for 33 iconic Malay Movie Classics from Cathay-Keris Films. The titles will be made available on Astro Citra and Astro Prima linear channels, including On Demand, Astro GO and OTT platforms from September 2021.
Indra and Erlina Suharjono set up I.E. Entertainment to develop, produce, market and distribute content in Asia and around the world. The new company kicks off with exclusive rights to the iconic Cathay-Keris Films Chinese and Malay libraries.
