In this Jutathep-Dhevaprom franchise instalment – “Kwanruetai”, viewers will feel the eternal pressures of the politics in love – internal conflict of loyalty and struggles for validation; the thrill of falling in love and possibly out of it.

Time has long since passed but the hurt and humiliation lingers for M.L. Maratee Dhevaprom when M.R. Phudhipat Jutathep broke their betrothal – as with the rest of his Jutathep brothers who did not fulfil the promise to marry a Dhevaprom, his heart is for another woman.  Maratee has a daughter with General Pinit, but she remains embittered and scorned as she is not recognized as his lawful wife nor given any of his assets.  Their twenty-year old daughter Kwanruetai is kind, generous, hardworking and ambitious – virtuous traits but all for the wrong reasons.  For Kwanruetai, her entire being is in earnest for her mother’s love and approval.

Enter young military doctor – Major Dr. M.L Chatklao Jutathep, despite his royal lineage and privileged upbringing, he is good-hearted and down to earth.  While on duty, he meets Kwanruetai in the northern province of Thailand, Chiangrai; where they are caught in the throes of danger due to gangs and drug wars.  Chatklao falls in love with Kwanruetai but she is conflicted given their families’ long-standing estrangement – her mother whose approval and love she yearns for, is dead-set against Kwanruetai’s romance with Chatklao who is M.R. Phudhipat’s son.

Will she listen to her heart; or are the Jutatheps and Dhevaproms, just not meant to be together?
