The story of Awang Janggut, grandchild of Datuk Merah who didn’t want to follow the change of time and was only proud of his ancestral roots. His wife, Kuntum and his daily income comes from betting of cockfights despite numerous advice from Kuntum to get a proper job. Things took a good turn for Awang when he was offered a job as a bodyguard to the Hasan’s household. Siti then tried to capture Awang’s heart and succeeded and his marriage was on the rocks. Long Daik took this opportunity to poison Awang’s wife and blame it on him. As a result, he was terminated from his job by Hasan and lost everything that he had including Siti.
